Fresh blueberries
1 cup
Dried lavender buds
1 tablespoon
Egg
1
Milk
1/2 cup
Unsalted butter
1/4 cup, melted
Salt
1/2 teaspoon
Baking powder
2 teaspoons
Granulated sugar
1/2 cup
All-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin with butter or line it with muffin liners.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk these dry ingredients together until well mixed.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the melted butter, milk, and egg. Stir well to combine these wet ingredients.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined, ensuring not to overmix as this could result in tough muffins.
  5. Gently fold in the fresh blueberries and dried lavender buds. Distribute them evenly throughout the batter.
  6. Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about two-thirds full.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.
  8. Remove the muffins from the oven and let them cool in the tin for 5 minutes. Then, transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely before serving.
