Sink your teeth into these juicy lean bison burgers, a delightful and nutritious twist on the classic beef patty. With their robust flavor and high protein content, these burgers are not only satisfying but also a healthier option for your summer grilling. The rich taste of bison, combined with the savory notes of garlic and Worcestershire sauce, create a mouthwatering experience that will leave you craving more. Perfectly complemented by fresh toppings and whole wheat buns, these burgers are sure to be a hit at your next barbecue!

Ingredients

Ground bison
1 pound
Garlic
2 cloves, minced
Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons
Salt
1 teaspoon
Freshly ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon
Whole wheat buns
4
Onion
1, sliced
Tomato
1, sliced
Lettuce
4 leaves

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground bison, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until all ingredients are well incorporated, being careful not to overwork the meat.
  2. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a burger patty, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, ensuring the grates are clean and lightly oiled to prevent sticking.
  4. Grill the bison burgers for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C) for medium doneness.
  5. To serve, place the grilled burgers on whole wheat buns and top with fresh lettuce, tomato slices, and onion rings. You can also add your favorite condiments, such as mustard or a homemade garlic aioli for extra flavor.
  6. Enjoy your delicious and healthy bison burgers with a side of sweet potato fries or a fresh garden salad.
