Servings: 6

Ingredients

Beef sirloin
1.5 lbs, cut into 1-inch cubes
Wooden skewers
12, soaked in water for 30 minutes
Cherry tomatoes
24
Bell peppers
2, cut into 1-inch pieces
Red onion
1, cut into 1-inch pieces
Olive oil
1/4 cup
Garlic
3 cloves, minced
Lemon juice
2 tablespoons
Ground cumin
1 teaspoon
Ground coriander
1 teaspoon
Paprika
1 teaspoon
Red pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon
Salt
1 teaspoon
Black pepper
1/2 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, ground cumin, ground coriander, paprika, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes to create a rich marinade.
  2. Add the beef cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, but for the most intense flavor, marinate overnight.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using a charcoal grill, wait until the coals are covered with white ash.
  4. While the grill is heating, thread the marinated beef cubes onto the soaked wooden skewers, alternating with pieces of red onion, bell pepper, and cherry tomatoes.
  5. Grill the kebabs for about 8-10 minutes, turning them occasionally to ensure even cooking. The beef should be cooked to your desired level of doneness, and the vegetables should be slightly charred.
  6. Remove the kebabs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute.
  7. Serve the kebabs hot, accompanied by warm pita bread, fluffy rice, and a refreshing tzatziki or garlic sauce. Enjoy this authentic Lebanese treat!
