Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, ground cumin, ground coriander, paprika, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes to create a rich marinade.
- Add the beef cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, but for the most intense flavor, marinate overnight.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using a charcoal grill, wait until the coals are covered with white ash.
- While the grill is heating, thread the marinated beef cubes onto the soaked wooden skewers, alternating with pieces of red onion, bell pepper, and cherry tomatoes.
- Grill the kebabs for about 8-10 minutes, turning them occasionally to ensure even cooking. The beef should be cooked to your desired level of doneness, and the vegetables should be slightly charred.
- Remove the kebabs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute.
- Serve the kebabs hot, accompanied by warm pita bread, fluffy rice, and a refreshing tzatziki or garlic sauce. Enjoy this authentic Lebanese treat!
Tips
- For a vegetarian version, substitute the beef with halloumi cheese or tofu.
- The longer you marinate the beef, the more flavorful it will be. If possible, marinate it overnight for an unparalleled depth of flavor.
