Lemon and Basil Marinade

Ingredients
- 1/2 teaspoon, freshly ground Black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon, or to taste Salt
- 1/2 cup, extra-virgin Olive oil
- 2 cloves, peeled Garlic
- 1/4 cup, freshly squeezed Lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon, finely grated Lemon zest
- 1 cup, loosely packed Fresh basil leaves

Instructions
- In a blender or food processor, combine the fresh basil leaves, finely grated lemon zest, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and peeled garlic cloves.
- Blend the ingredients until the basil is finely chopped and the mixture is well combined.
- While the machine is running, slowly pour in the extra-virgin olive oil. Continue blending until the mixture becomes a smooth, emulsified marinade.
- Season the marinade with freshly ground black pepper and salt to taste.
- Your Lemon and Basil Marinade is now ready to use. You can immediately start marinating your chicken, fish, or vegetables, or store the marinade in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
