Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • Dried longan (1/2 cup)
  • Red dates (1/2 cup, pitted and sliced)
  • Goji berries (1/4 cup)
  • Rock sugar (1/3 cup (adjust to taste))
  • Water (4 cups)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the dried longan and red dates under cold water to remove any impurities.
  2. In a large pot, combine the 4 cups of water, rinsed dried longan, and sliced red dates. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
  3. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer gently for about 1 hour. This slow cooking process allows the flavors to meld beautifully.
  4. After an hour, add the rock sugar to the pot and stir until fully dissolved. Taste the tea and adjust the sweetness by adding more rock sugar if desired.
  5. Add the goji berries to the pot and continue to simmer for an additional 10 minutes to infuse their unique flavor.
  6. Strain the tea into cups using a fine mesh strainer to remove the solids, and serve warm.
