Servings: 24
Ingredients
- Unsalted butter
- 1 cup (softened)
- Granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup
- Brown sugar
- 3/4 cup, packed
- Egg
- 1 large
- Vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon
- All-purpose flour
- 2 cups
- Baking soda
- 1 teaspoon
- Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon
- Macadamia nuts
- 1 cup, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and packed brown sugar using an electric mixer until the mixture is light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the egg and beat well until fully incorporated. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined to avoid over-working the dough.
- Gently fold in the chopped macadamia nuts until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- Using a cookie scoop or rounded tablespoon, drop the cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart to allow for spreading.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are set yet soft.
- Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Serve and enjoy these delightful cookies with a glass of milk or your favorite coffee!
