Mango Margarita

Mango Margarita

Indulge in this vibrant Mango Margarita, a tropical twist on a classic Mexican cocktail. Brimming with the sun-kissed sweetness of ripe mangoes, zesty lime, and a hint of salt, this drink is a sip of summer in every glass. The recipe has its roots in the 1940s, when margaritas first gained popularity in the USA, and this version brings an exotic, fruity twist to the traditional lime-flavored favorite.

Servings: 2

Ingredients

  • Ripe mango (1 large, peeled, pitted, and diced)
  • Tequila (2 ounces)
  • Triple sec (1 ounce)
  • Lime juice (1 ounce, freshly squeezed)
  • Simple syrup (1 ounce)
  • Ice cubes (1 cup)
  • Salt (for rimming the glasses)
  • Lime wedges (for garnish and rimming the glasses)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your glasses by rubbing a lime wedge around the rim, then dipping the rim in salt. Set aside.
  2. In a blender, combine the diced mango, tequila, triple sec, lime juice, simple syrup, and ice cubes.
  3. Blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy. If you prefer a thinner consistency, feel free to add a bit more tequila or a splash of water.
  4. Pour the mango margarita into the prepared glasses, taking care not to wash off the salt rim.
  5. Garnish each glass with a lime wedge.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy this refreshing, tropical cocktail!
