Instructions
- Peel the ripe mangoes and cut the flesh away from the pit. Chop the mango flesh into smaller pieces for easier blending.
- In a blender or food processor, combine the mango pieces, freshly squeezed lime juice, honey, and chopped mint leaves.
- Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as necessary to ensure all the ingredients are well combined.
- Taste the sauce and adjust the sweetness by adding more honey or the tanginess by incorporating additional lime juice if desired.
- Once blended to your liking, transfer the mango mint sauce to a clean jar or airtight container.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together before serving.
Tips
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or a small piece of jalapeño during blending.
- This sauce pairs exceptionally well with grilled chicken or shrimp for a delightful contrast of flavors.
- Feel free to substitute agave syrup for honey if you're looking for a vegan alternative.
