Instructions
- Season both sides of the pork chops with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the pork chops and cook until they are browned on both sides, approximately 5 minutes per side. Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set them aside.
- Lower the heat to medium, add the minced garlic to the skillet, and sauté until it becomes fragrant, about 1 minute.
- In a separate small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and cornstarch until well combined. Then, pour this mixture into the skillet with the garlic and bring it to a simmer.
- Add the pork chops back into the skillet, immersing them in the sauce. Continue cooking for about 10 minutes, or until the glaze has thickened and the pork chops are cooked through.
- Serve the pork chops hot, with the maple glaze generously spooned over the top.
Tips
- For a variation, you can add a pinch of ground cinnamon or cayenne pepper to the glaze for a bit of spice.
- If you prefer a thicker glaze, simply simmer the sauce for a longer period of time before adding the pork chops back in.
