- Pizza dough
- 1 (store-bought or homemade)
- Tomato sauce
- 1 cup
- Garlic
- 3 cloves, minced
- Olive oil
- 2 tablespoons
- Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon
- Red pepper flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon (adjust to taste)
- Fresh basil
- 1/4 cup, chopped
- Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup, grated
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat.
- On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness. Aim for a thickness of about 1/4 inch for a crispy base.
- Carefully transfer the rolled dough to a baking sheet or onto the preheated pizza stone.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the tomato sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir well to blend the flavors.
- Spread the tomato sauce mixture evenly over the surface of the pizza dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and crispy.
- Once baked, remove the pizza from the oven and immediately sprinkle the chopped fresh basil and grated Parmesan cheese on top.
