Marinara Pizza

This classic marinara pizza is topped with a flavorful tomato sauce, garlic, and fresh basil.

Ingredients

  • Parmesan cheese (1/4 cup, grated)
  • Red pepper flakes (1/4 teaspoon)
  • Black pepper (1/4 teaspoon)
  • Salt (1/2 teaspoon)
  • Olive oil (1 tablespoon)
  • Fresh basil (1/4 cup, chopped)
  • Garlic (2 cloves, minced)
  • Tomato sauce (1 cup)
  • Pizza dough (1 pound)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  3. Transfer the dough to a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the tomato sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  5. Spread the tomato sauce mixture evenly over the pizza dough.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven and sprinkle the chopped fresh basil and grated Parmesan cheese over the pizza.
  8. Slice and serve hot.
