Ingredients
- Whipped cream
- 2 cups
- Unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup, softened
- Eggs
- 2
- Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon
- All-purpose flour
- 3 cups
- Granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup
- Active dry yeast
- 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons)
- Warm water
- 1/4 cup
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Set aside for 5 minutes to allow the yeast to dissolve.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar, flour, and salt.
- To the flour mixture, add the yeast mixture, eggs, and softened butter. Stir until a dough begins to form.
- Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes, until the dough is smooth and elastic.
- Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, covering it with a clean kitchen towel. Let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- After the dough has risen, divide it into 8 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a bun and arrange them on the prepared baking sheet. Let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake the buns for about 20 minutes, or until they have turned a beautiful golden brown.
- Once the buns have cooled, slice them open and generously fill with whipped cream. Serve and savor.
