Indulge in the rich and aromatic flavors of the Masada Macchiato, a delightful coffee beverage that transports you to the historical heights of Masada, where ancient traditions meet modern indulgence. This luxurious drink combines bold espresso with creamy, spiced milk infused with honey, cardamom, and cinnamon, topped with luscious whipped cream and a sprinkle of ground pistachios. Perfect for a cozy morning or an afternoon pick-me-up, this drink is not just a treat for your taste buds but also a celebration of Middle Eastern culture and hospitality.

Servings: 1

Ingredients

Espresso
1 shot
Milk
1 cup
Honey
1 tablespoon
Ground cardamom
1/2 teaspoon
Cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon
Whipped cream
2 tablespoons
Ground pistachios
1 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Brew a shot of espresso using your preferred method (espresso machine, stovetop, etc.) and set aside.
  2. In a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until it's hot but not boiling. Be careful to avoid scalding the milk.
  3. Add the ground cardamom, honey, and cinnamon to the hot milk. Stir well to ensure everything is combined and the honey is dissolved.
  4. Using a milk frother or a whisk, froth the milk until it reaches a creamy and foamy consistency. If you don't have a frother, vigorously whisking the milk can also create a good amount of foam.
  5. Pour the frothed milk over the espresso shot, using a spoon to hold back the foam for a smoother pour.
  6. Top your drink with a generous dollop of whipped cream, allowing it to melt slightly into the hot beverage.
  7. Sprinkle the ground pistachios on top for a delightful crunch and an extra layer of flavor.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy the warm embrace of this exquisite Masada Macchiato!
