
Masala Chai
Masala Chai is a traditional Indian spiced tea that is rich, aromatic, and full of flavor.
Ingredients
- Sugar (2 teaspoons)
- Black peppercorns (4)
- Cloves (4)
- Cinnamon stick (1)
- Cardamom pods (4, crushed)
- Ginger (1-inch piece, grated)
- Black tea leaves (2 teaspoons)
- Milk (1 cup)
- Water (1 cup)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, bring water to a boil.
- Add the grated ginger, crushed cardamom pods, cinnamon stick, cloves, and black peppercorns to the boiling water.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes to infuse the flavors.
- Add the black tea leaves and simmer for another 2 minutes.
- Add milk and sugar to the saucepan and bring to a gentle boil.
- Remove from heat and strain the tea into cups.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
