8

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates with vegetable oil.
  2. Grill the Polish sausages for about 10 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are browned and heated through.
  3. While the sausages are grilling, place the sliced onions on the grill and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are soft and lightly caramelized.
  4. To assemble the sandwiches, slice each French roll lengthwise but not all the way through, creating a pocket.
  5. Spread a generous amount of yellow mustard on the inside of each roll.
  6. Place one grilled sausage into each roll, followed by a generous portion of the grilled onions.
  7. Top each sausage with two pickled sport peppers, a dill pickle spear, and a few slices of fresh tomato.
  8. Serve the sandwiches hot and enjoy the rich flavors of Chicago!

Tips

  • 💡 For an extra kick, try adding a dash of hot sauce or a sprinkle of crushed red pepper flakes to the mustard.
  • 💡 Feel free to grill additional vegetables, such as bell peppers or zucchini, to add more flavor and texture.
  • 💡 If you prefer a milder flavor, you can omit the sport peppers and replace them with sweet peppers.
