- Ground pork
- 2 pounds
- Breadcrumbs
- 1 cup
- Onion
- 1, finely chopped
- Garlic
- 3 cloves, minced
- Nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon
- Allspice
- 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper
- 1 teaspoon
- Salt
- 1 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons
- Butter
- 2 tablespoons
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, breadcrumbs, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, allspice, and nutmeg. Use your hands to mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Shape the mixture into sausage-shaped patties, each approximately 3 inches long and 1 inch thick. Ensure they are well-formed to hold together while cooking.
- In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil and butter over medium heat until shimmering.
- Carefully add the medisterpolse patties to the skillet, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for about 5 minutes on each side, or until the sausages are golden brown and cooked through to an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).
- Once cooked, remove the sausages from the skillet and let them rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
