Ingredients
- Spring onions
- 2, chopped for garnish
- Lard
- 2 tablespoons
- Garlic
- 3 cloves, minced
- Chili sauce
- 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons
- Chinese black vinegar
- 1 tablespoon
- Bean sprouts
- 1 cup
- Fish balls
- 8
- Minced pork
- 200g
- Flat egg noodles
- 200g
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the egg noodles and cook until soft, about 7-8 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- In the same pot, boil the fish balls until they float to the top, about 5 minutes. Remove using a slotted spoon and set aside.
- Heat the lard in a large pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
- Add the minced pork to the pan. Cook, stirring frequently, until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the soy sauce, vinegar, and chili sauce to the pan. Stir until the ingredients are well combined and the pork is coated in the sauce.
- Add the cooked noodles to the pan. Toss to ensure the noodles are evenly coated in the sauce.
- Add the bean sprouts and boiled fish balls. Stir until the ingredients are well combined.
- Serve the noodles hot, garnished with the chopped spring onions. Enjoy your homemade Singaporean Mee Pok!
