Servings: 8

Ingredients

Pizza dough
1 batch (store-bought or homemade)
Refried beans
1 cup
Ground beef
1 pound
Taco seasoning
1 packet (or homemade equivalent)
Tomato sauce
1/2 cup
Cheddar cheese
2 cups, shredded
Red onion
1/2, thinly sliced
Tomato
1 large, diced
Black olives
1/2 cup, sliced
Jalapeno
1, sliced (adjust to taste)
Sour cream
1/2 cup (for serving)
Cilantro
1/4 cup, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness, ensuring it fits the size of your baking sheet or pizza stone.
  3. Transfer the rolled-out dough onto a baking sheet or pizza stone, making sure the edges are slightly raised to hold in the toppings.
  4. Spread the refried beans evenly over the pizza dough to create a flavorful base layer.
  5. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks. Drain any excess grease.
  6. Add the taco seasoning and tomato sauce to the cooked ground beef, stirring well to combine. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes to meld the flavors.
  7. Spread the seasoned ground beef mixture evenly over the refried beans on the pizza dough.
  8. Generously sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the ground beef mixture.
  9. Top the pizza with sliced red onion, diced tomato, black olives, and jalapeno slices, arranging them as desired.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  11. Remove the pizza from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes before slicing.
  12. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot with a generous dollop of sour cream on top.
