- Chili powder (1 teaspoon)

- Frozen peas and carrots (1 cup)

Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat until shimmering.
- Add the rinsed white rice to the skillet and cook, stirring frequently, until the rice is lightly golden, about 5 minutes.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet, cooking until the onion becomes translucent, about 3 minutes.

- Remove the skillet from heat and let the rice sit, covered, for another 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
