Ingredients
- Strong brewed coffee
- 2 cups
- Dark chocolate
- 50 grams, chopped
- Cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon
- Tequila
- 2 shots
- Whipped cream
- to top
- Cocoa powder
- for dusting
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, heat the brewed coffee over medium heat until hot but not boiling.
- Add the chopped dark chocolate and cinnamon to the saucepan, stirring continuously until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is well incorporated.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in the tequila, mixing well to ensure it's evenly distributed through the coffee.
- Pour the Mexican Wedding Coffee into two large, heat-proof mugs.
- Generously top each mug with whipped cream, and dust lightly with cocoa powder to finish.
- Serve immediately while hot, and enjoy this festive, comforting beverage.
Tips
- For an alcohol-free version, simply omit the tequila. The coffee will still be delicious with the chocolate and cinnamon.
- You may substitute the dark chocolate with semi-sweet chocolate if you prefer a sweeter coffee.
- If you're feeling adventurous, try adding a touch of chili powder for an extra Mexican twist.
