Fresh mint leaves
10
Lime
1, cut into 4 wedges
White sugar
2 teaspoons, or to taste
White rum
1.5 ounces
Club soda
1/2 cup
Crushed ice
1 cup

Instructions

  1. Place mint leaves and 1 lime wedge into a sturdy glass. Use a muddler to crush the mint and lime, releasing the mint oils and lime juice.
  2. Add 2 more lime wedges and the sugar to the glass. Muddle again to release more lime juice and dissolve the sugar.
  3. Fill the glass almost to the top with crushed ice.
  4. Pour the rum over the ice, ensuring that it trickles down to mix with the muddled mint, lime, and sugar.
  5. Top up the glass with club soda and give it a gentle stir to combine.
  6. Taste your mojito and add more sugar if desired. Garnish with the remaining lime wedge.
