Ingredients

Original recipe serves 4

Garlic
2 cloves, minced
Fresh ginger
1 tablespoon, grated
Soy sauce
1/4 cup
Mirin
1/4 cup
White miso paste
2 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized bowl, combine the white miso paste, mirin, soy sauce, freshly grated ginger, and finely minced garlic. Stir the concoction until the ingredients are well combined and the miso paste is entirely dissolved.
  2. Your marinade is now ready to use. You can either use it immediately or store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
  3. When you're ready to marinate your choice of protein or vegetables, simply coat them evenly with the marinade. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes or up to two hours for a deeper flavor infusion before cooking.
  4. Cook your marinated ingredients as desired. This marinade works exceptionally well for grilling, baking, or pan-searing.

Tips

  • 💡 This marinade is also great for tofu and works as a wonderful dressing for salads.
  • 💡 If you prefer a bit of heat, add a dash of chili flakes or finely chopped fresh chili to the marinade.
