Ingredients

Green onions
2, thinly sliced
Dried seaweed (wakame)
1/4 cup, rehydrated
Firm tofu
1 cup, cubed
Miso paste
3 tablespoons
Dashi stock
4 cups

Instructions

  1. In a pot, bring the dashi stock to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
  2. In a small bowl, take a ladleful of hot dashi stock and dissolve the miso paste into it, stirring until smooth.
  3. Once the dashi is simmering, add the dissolved miso paste back into the pot and stir well to combine.
  4. Add the cubed tofu and rehydrated seaweed to the pot and simmer for an additional 5 minutes, or until the tofu is heated through.
  5. Remove from heat and garnish with the sliced green onions just before serving.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy the comforting flavors of this traditional Japanese soup!
