1 medium, finely chopped
Garlic
2 cloves, minced
Chicken or turkey stock
2 cups
Roasted chicken or turkey
3 cups, shredded

Fresh parsley
1/4 cup, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place the mlinci sheets on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 10 minutes, or until crispy and lightly browned.
  3. In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
  4. Add the finely chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté until the onion is softened and lightly browned, about 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in the shredded roasted chicken or turkey and cook until heated through, about 3-4 minutes.
  6. Pour in the chicken or turkey stock, and bring to a gentle simmer.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste, adjusting according to your preference.
  8. Break the crispy mlinci sheets into smaller pieces and add them to the skillet. Stir well to combine.
  9. Cook for an additional 5-10 minutes, allowing the mlinci to absorb some of the stock and soften, stirring occasionally.
  10. Once the mlinci have absorbed the flavors, remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
  11. Serve the mlinci warm alongside the roasted chicken or turkey, and enjoy this comforting Croatian classic!
