Montana Meatloaf

Ingredients
- Lean ground beef
- 2 pounds
- Onion
- 1, finely chopped
- Green bell pepper
- 1, finely chopped
- Garlic
- 2 cloves, minced
- Eggs
- 2, beaten
- Breadcrumbs
- 1 cup
- Milk
- 1/2 cup
- Salt
- 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon
- Ketchup
- 1/2 cup (for glaze)
- Brown sugar
- 1/4 cup (for glaze)
- Yellow mustard
- 2 tablespoons (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, green bell pepper, minced garlic, beaten eggs, breadcrumbs, milk, salt, and pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well combined.
- Transfer the meat mixture to a loaf shape and place it in a lightly greased baking dish.
- In a small bowl, prepare the glaze by mixing together the ketchup, brown sugar, and yellow mustard until smooth.
- Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the shaped meatloaf.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the meatloaf is cooked through (internal temperature should reach 160°F) and the glaze is caramelized.
- Once done, remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
