Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Carefully cut the Moreton Bay Bugs in half lengthwise, ensuring not to cut through the shell.
- In a small bowl, combine the minced garlic, melted butter, lemon juice, and chopped parsley. Mix well to create the garlic butter sauce.
- Brush the garlic butter mixture generously onto the cut side of the Moreton Bay Bugs. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Place the Moreton Bay Bugs cut side down on the preheated grill. Cook for 4-5 minutes, allowing the meat to absorb the smoky flavors.
- Turn the Moreton Bay Bugs over and brush with more of the garlic butter mixture. Grill for an additional 4-5 minutes, or until the meat is opaque and cooked through.
- Remove from the grill and serve immediately with any remaining garlic butter sauce drizzled over the top and a wedge of lemon on the side.
Tips
- For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic butter sauce.
- Pair with a crisp white wine or a light lager to complement the flavors.
- You can substitute Moreton Bay Bugs with lobster tails or shrimp for a different seafood experience.
