Ingredients
- Dried peaches
- 1 cup
- Husked wheat (mote)
- 1/2 cup
- Sugar
- 1/2 cup (adjust to taste)
- Water
- 6 cups
- Cinnamon sticks
- 2
- Cloves
- 4
- Ice cubes

Instructions
- In a large pot, combine the dried peaches, husked wheat, sugar, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and water.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 45 minutes, or until the peaches are soft and the wheat is tender.
- Once cooked, remove the pot from the heat and allow the mixture to cool to room temperature. This will enhance the flavors.
- After cooling, strain the mixture to remove the cinnamon sticks and cloves. You can reserve some peaches for garnishing.
- Serve the mote con huesillo in tall glasses, including a few cooked peaches and some of the wheat in each glass.
- Add ice cubes to each glass for a refreshing touch, and enjoy this delightful Chilean treat!
