
Mushroom and Ham Omelette
This delicious omelette is filled with sautéed mushrooms, diced ham, and melted cheese.
Ingredients
- Cheddar cheese (1/2 cup, shredded)
- Butter (2 tablespoons)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Milk (2 tablespoons)
- Eggs (4)
- Ham (1/2 cup, diced)
- Mushrooms (1 cup, sliced)
Instructions
- In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they are golden brown, about 5 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the diced ham and cook until it is heated through, about 2 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
- In the same skillet, melt the remaining tablespoon of butter over medium heat.
- Pour the egg mixture into the skillet and let it cook undisturbed for a few minutes, until the edges start to set.
- Using a spatula, gently lift the edges of the omelette and tilt the skillet to allow the uncooked eggs to flow to the edges.
- Sprinkle the sautéed mushrooms, diced ham, and shredded cheddar cheese over one half of the omelette.
- Fold the other half of the omelette over the filling and cook for another minute, until the cheese is melted.
- Slide the omelette onto a plate and serve hot.
