Instructions
- In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they are golden brown and tender, about 5 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the diced ham and cook until heated through, about 2 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside with the mushrooms.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until well combined and slightly frothy.
- In the same skillet, melt the remaining tablespoon of butter over medium heat, ensuring it coats the bottom of the skillet.
- Pour the egg mixture into the skillet and let it cook undisturbed for 2-3 minutes, until the edges start to set.
- Using a spatula, gently lift the edges of the omelette and tilt the skillet to allow the uncooked eggs to flow to the edges, cooking evenly.
- Sprinkle the sautéed mushrooms, diced ham, and shredded cheddar cheese over one half of the omelette.
- Fold the other half of the omelette over the filling and cook for an additional minute, until the cheese is melted and the omelette is cooked through.
