Mushrooms, sliced
2 cups
Onion, finely chopped
1 medium
Garlic, minced
2 cloves
Fresh herbs (such as parsley, thyme, chives), chopped
3 tablespoons
Eggs
6 large
Milk
1/4 cup
Salt
1/2 teaspoon
Black pepper
1/4 teaspoon
Grated cheese (such as cheddar or gruyere)
1 cup

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the mushrooms, onion, and garlic to the skillet. Saute until the mushrooms are golden brown and the onions are translucent, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in the chopped herbs and cook for an additional minute, allowing the flavors to marry.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  6. Pour the egg mixture over the sauteed mushrooms and onions in the skillet. Stir gently to distribute the ingredients evenly.
  7. Allow the frittata to cook on the stovetop for 2-3 minutes, or until the edges begin to set.
  8. Sprinkle the grated cheese evenly over the top of the frittata.
  9. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the frittata is fully set and the cheese is melted and golden brown.
