
Mushroom and Sausage Pizza
This delicious pizza is topped with savory mushrooms, flavorful sausage, and gooey cheese.
Ingredients
- Fresh basil (1/4 cup, chopped)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Garlic (2 cloves, minced)
- Olive oil (1 tablespoon)
- Mushrooms (8 ounces, sliced)
- Sausage (1/2 pound, cooked and crumbled)
- Mozzarella cheese (2 cups, shredded)
- Pizza sauce (1/2 cup)
- Pizza dough (1 pound)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450°F.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
- Transfer the dough to a greased baking sheet or pizza stone.
- Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough.
- Sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
- Evenly distribute the cooked sausage and sliced mushrooms on top of the cheese.
- In a small pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
- Drizzle the garlic-infused olive oil over the pizza toppings.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Sprinkle the remaining shredded mozzarella cheese over the toppings.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
- Garnish with fresh chopped basil before serving.
