Ingredients

Salt and pepper

Breadcrumbs
1/2 cup
Parmesan cheese
1 cup, grated
Milk
1 cup
All-purpose flour
2 tablespoons
Garlic
2 cloves, minced
Butter
2 tablespoons
Spinach
2 cups, fresh
Mushrooms
2 cups, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the sliced mushrooms and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the mushrooms turn tender and have a golden color, which should take about 5 minutes.
  4. Add the fresh spinach to the skillet and continue to cook until the spinach has wilted, approximately 2 minutes.
  5. Evenly sprinkle the all-purpose flour over the mushroom and spinach mixture, stirring it in to coat the vegetables.
  6. Gradually pour in the milk, stirring the mixture continuously, until it becomes thick and creamy.
  7. Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in half of the grated Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper according to your taste preference.
  8. Transfer the creamy mixture into a baking dish. Evenly sprinkle the rest of the Parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs over the top.
  9. Bake the gratin in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until you see that the top has turned golden and is bubbling. The gratin is now ready to serve.
