Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat up.
  2. On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness, typically about 1/4 inch thick for a satisfying crust.
  3. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and sauté until they are tender and golden, about 5 minutes. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  5. Transfer the rolled-out pizza dough to a baking sheet or a pizza peel if using a pizza stone.
  6. Spread the sautéed mushrooms evenly over the pizza dough, creating a delicious base.
  7. Arrange the sliced tomatoes on top of the mushrooms, layering them for an attractive appearance.
  8. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella evenly over the tomatoes, followed by the grated Parmesan cheese for a rich flavor.
  9. Season the pizza with additional salt and pepper to your liking.
  10. Carefully transfer the pizza to the preheated oven (or onto the pizza stone) and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  11. Once baked, remove the pizza from the oven and sprinkle with fresh chopped basil for an aromatic finish.
  12. Slice into wedges, serve hot, and enjoy the delightful medley of flavors!
