Milk
4 cups
Granulated sugar
1 cup
Cornstarch
1/2 cup
Cinnamon
1 teaspoon, plus extra for garnish
Vanilla extract
1 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the milk, sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and vanilla extract.
  2. Whisk the mixture thoroughly until the cornstarch is completely dissolved and there are no lumps.
  3. Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon or whisk. Continue until the mixture thickens and begins to boil gently.
  4. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let it cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  5. Remove the saucepan from the heat and allow the natilla to cool to room temperature, stirring occasionally to maintain a smooth texture.
  6. Once cooled, transfer the natilla to individual serving bowls or a large serving dish.
  7. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until the natilla is set and chilled.
  8. Before serving, sprinkle a little extra cinnamon on top for garnish and enjoy this delightful treat!
