Nectarine and Mango Crisp

This delicious nectarine and mango crisp is a perfect summer dessert. The combination of sweet nectarines and juicy mangoes, topped with a crispy oat topping, is simply irresistible.

Ingredients

  • Unsalted butter (1/4 cup, cold and cubed)
  • Salt (1/4 teaspoon)
  • Cinnamon (1 teaspoon)
  • Brown sugar (1/4 cup)
  • Rolled oats (1/2 cup)
  • All (purpose flour - 1/4 cup)
  • Granulated sugar (1/4 cup)
  • Lemon juice (2 tablespoons)
  • Mangoes (2, diced)
  • Nectarines (4, sliced)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced nectarines, diced mangoes, lemon juice, granulated sugar, and all-purpose flour. Toss until the fruit is well coated.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the rolled oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Add the cold cubed butter and use your fingers to rub it into the oat mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Transfer the fruit mixture to a baking dish and sprinkle the oat topping evenly over the fruit.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the fruit is bubbly and the topping is golden brown.
  6. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
  7. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, if desired.
