Ingredients

Original recipe serves 8

Fresh nectarines
2 cups, pitted and chopped
Raspberries
1 cup
Granulated sugar
1 cup
Heavy cream
2 cups
Whole milk
1 cup
Vanilla extract
1 teaspoon
Lemon juice
1 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. In a blender or food processor, blend the chopped nectarines and raspberries until they form a smooth puree.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the fruit puree, granulated sugar, heavy cream, whole milk, vanilla extract, and lemon juice. Stir the mixture thoroughly until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  3. Pour the ice cream mixture into your ice cream maker. Churn the mixture according to the manufacturer's instructions. This usually takes about 20 to 25 minutes.
  4. Once the ice cream has reached a soft-serve consistency, transfer it into a lidded, freezer-safe container. Smooth the top with a spatula.
  5. Cover the container and freeze the ice cream for at least 4 hours, or ideally overnight. This will allow the ice cream to firm up and develop a more robust flavor.
  6. Serve the Nectarine and Raspberry Summer Dream Ice Cream in bowls or cones, garnished with fresh fruit if desired. Enjoy your homemade, fruit-filled summer treat!

Tips

  • 💡 For a dairy-free version, substitute the whole milk and heavy cream with coconut milk or almond milk. If nectarines and raspberries are out of season, frozen fruits may be used instead. Just ensure to thaw and drain them before use.
