A unique and invigorating coffee tonic that blends the bold flavors of coffee with the subtle earthiness of nopal cactus. This drink is as refreshing as it is energizing, providing a delightful pick-me-up at any time of the day. The addition of fresh mint, a hint of lime, and a touch of honey creates a harmonious balance of flavors that is truly irresistible.

Ingredients

Nopal cactus
1/2 cup, diced
Espresso or strong brewed coffee
1 shot
Sparkling water
1 cup
Lime juice
1 tablespoon
Honey
1 tablespoon
Ice cubes
handful
Mint leaves
for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare a glass and place the diced nopal cactus inside. Using a muddler or the back of a spoon, crush the cactus to release its juices.
  2. Pour the shot of espresso or strong brewed coffee into the glass, over the muddled cactus.
  3. Add in the sparkling water and lime juice, and stir the mixture.
  4. Add the honey, stirring until it is fully dissolved and the mixture is well combined.
  5. Toss in a handful of ice cubes to chill the drink.
  6. Garnish the glass with fresh mint leaves.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy the refreshing burst of flavors!
