Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a doughnut pan with non-stick spray or butter.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are fine.
- Fill each doughnut cup about halfway with the batter.
- Using a small spoon, add approximately 1 tablespoon of Nutella into the center of each doughnut cup, then top with the remaining batter until each cup is about three-quarters full.
- Bake for 15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the doughnut comes out clean.
- Allow the doughnuts to cool in the pan for about 5 minutes, then gently transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cooled, dust the doughnuts generously with powdered sugar before serving.
Tips
- For an extra flavor twist, consider adding a pinch of cinnamon to the batter.
- You can also try filling the doughnuts with other fillings like peanut butter or fruit preserves.
- These doughnuts can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days, but they're best enjoyed fresh.
