Indulge in these decadent Nutella stuffed chocolate chip cookies, where warm, gooey Nutella meets soft, chewy chocolate chip cookies for a truly irresistible treat. These cookies are the perfect combination of sweet and rich, making them a favorite for kids and adults alike. Originating from the classic American cookie, this version adds a delightful twist with the famous Italian hazelnut spread, Nutella, which has captured the hearts of many since its introduction in the 1960s.

Servings: 24 cookies

Ingredients

All-purpose flour
2 cups
Baking soda
1 teaspoon
Salt
1/2 teaspoon
Unsalted butter
1 cup, softened
Granulated sugar
1/2 cup
Brown sugar
1/2 cup, packed
Egg
1 large
Vanilla extract
1 teaspoon
Chocolate chips
1 cup
Nutella
1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a separate large bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips gently using a spatula.
  7. Scoop about 1 tablespoon of dough and flatten it in your palm to create a small disk.
  8. Place a small dollop (about 1 teaspoon) of Nutella in the center of the flattened dough.
  9. Carefully fold the edges of the dough over the Nutella, sealing it completely so that no Nutella is exposed.
  10. Roll the dough into a ball, ensuring the Nutella is fully enclosed.
  11. Place the stuffed cookie dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  12. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers look slightly underbaked.
  13. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  14. Serve warm for the best gooey experience and enjoy the delightful surprise inside!
