Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a separate large bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Fold in the chocolate chips gently using a spatula.
- Scoop about 1 tablespoon of dough and flatten it in your palm to create a small disk.
- Place a small dollop (about 1 teaspoon) of Nutella in the center of the flattened dough.
- Carefully fold the edges of the dough over the Nutella, sealing it completely so that no Nutella is exposed.
- Roll the dough into a ball, ensuring the Nutella is fully enclosed.
- Place the stuffed cookie dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers look slightly underbaked.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
