Experience the exquisite flavors of our Onion and Cheese Quiche, a dish that marries the sweet, caramelized onions and the rich, melted Cheddar cheese together within a beautifully flaky crust. The origin of the Quiche can be traced back to Germany, but it gained popularity in French cuisine. Perfect for brunch, lunch, or dinner, this savory delight will impress your guests and satisfy your tastebuds.

Servings: 8

Ingredients

Fresh parsley
2 tablespoons, chopped
Salt
1/2 teaspoon
Black Pepper
1/4 teaspoon
Cheddar cheese
1 cup, shredded
Milk
1 cup
Eggs
4, large
Butter
2 tablespoons
Onions
2 cups, thinly sliced
Pie crust
1 (9-inch) crust

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the pie crust and gently press it into a 9-inch pie dish. Trim off any excess crust and crimp the edges for a decorative finish.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the sliced onions and cook, stirring occasionally, until they turn a deep golden brown, around 15 minutes. Remove the skillet from the heat and set the onions aside.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  5. Distribute the caramelized onions evenly over the bottom of the pie crust. Sprinkle the shredded Cheddar cheese on top.
  6. Pour the egg mixture over the onions and cheese, making sure everything is evenly covered.
  7. Bake the quiche in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
  8. Remove the quiche from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Sprinkle the fresh parsley over the top before serving.
  9. Slice the quiche into wedges and serve warm or at room temperature.
