Serves 8

Ingredients

Unsalted Butter
2 tablespoons
Onions
2 large, thinly sliced
Cream Cheese
8 ounces, softened
Sour Cream
1/2 cup
Mayonnaise
1/4 cup
Garlic Powder
1 teaspoon
Salt
1/2 teaspoon, or to taste
Black Pepper
1/4 teaspoon, or to taste
Green Onions
2, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the sliced onions.
  2. Cook the onions, stirring occasionally, until they are deeply caramelized and golden brown, about 20 minutes. Lower the heat if they start to burn.
  3. While the onions are caramelizing, in a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  4. Once the onions are caramelized, add them to the cream cheese mixture and stir until evenly distributed.
  5. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and garnish with chopped green onions for a fresh crunch.
  6. Serve with your favorite chips, crackers, or fresh vegetables for dipping. Enjoy!

Tips

  • 💡 For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or a dash of hot sauce to the dip.
  • 💡 You can also experiment by adding shredded cheese or bacon bits for extra flavor.
  • 💡 This dip can be made ahead of time; just store it in the refrigerator and serve it chilled or warmed.
