
Onion and Garlic Shrimp Pasta
This delicious shrimp pasta is packed with flavors of onion and garlic, creating a satisfying and comforting dish.
Ingredients
- Parmesan cheese (1/2 cup, grated)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Red pepper flakes (1/2 teaspoon)
- Fresh basil (1/4 cup, chopped)
- Cherry tomatoes (1 cup, halved)
- Garlic (4 cloves, minced)
- Onion (1 large, thinly sliced)
- Olive oil (2 tablespoons)
- Shrimp (1 pound, peeled and deveined)
- Pasta (8 ounces)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the sliced onion and minced garlic. Cook until the onion is translucent and the garlic is fragrant, about 5 minutes.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Add the cherry tomatoes, chopped basil, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, until the tomatoes are slightly softened.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to combine with the shrimp and tomato mixture.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
