- Hoagie rolls (4, toasted)
- Provolone cheese (8 slices)

- Bell pepper (2, sliced (1 red, 1 green for color))
- Onion (1 large, sliced)
- Steak (sirloin or ribeye) (1 pound, thinly sliced)
- Garlic powder (1 teaspoon)
- Worcestershire sauce (1 tablespoon)
- Optional: Hot sauce (to taste (for a kick))
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced onions and bell peppers to the skillet. Sauté until they are soft and slightly caramelized, about 8-10 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent burning.
- Once cooked, remove the onions and peppers from the skillet and set them aside.
- Season the thinly sliced steak with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce.
- In the same skillet, cook the seasoned steak slices for 2-3 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired doneness. Avoid overcrowding the pan; cook in batches if necessary.
- When the steak is nearly done, place the provolone cheese slices on top of the cooked steak slices and cover the skillet with a lid. Allow the cheese to melt, about 1-2 minutes.
