Honey

Orange juice
1/4 cup
Soy sauce
1/4 cup
Fresh ginger, grated
1 tablespoon
Garlic, minced
2 cloves
Fresh orange, segmented
1 large
Broccoli florets
4 cups
Sesame seeds, for garnish

Sliced green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, orange juice, honey, sesame oil, cornstarch, water, salt, and black pepper until smooth. This will be your flavorful sauce.
  2. Heat cooking oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet. Sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant and aromatic.
  4. Add broccoli florets to the skillet. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until they turn bright green and are slightly tender but still crisp.
  5. Pour the prepared sauce over the broccoli and stir well to ensure even coating.
  6. Gently add the orange segments to the skillet and toss everything together carefully to avoid breaking the orange pieces.
  7. Continue to cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and cling to the broccoli and oranges.
  8. Remove from heat and serve the zesty orange and broccoli stir fry hot, garnished with sesame seeds and sliced green onions if desired.
