Orange and Honey Glazed Salmon

Indulge in this luscious salmon recipe that showcases a beautiful symphony of flavors. The salmon, known for its rich, buttery texture, is complemented perfectly by a glaze that is a blend of sweet honey, tangy orange juice, and savory soy sauce. This dish is not only a feast for your taste buds, but also a visual delight with its golden glaze and garnish of vibrant green onions.

Ingredients

Green onions
2, sliced
Salt
1/2 teaspoon
Black Pepper
1/4 teaspoon
Ginger
1 tablespoon, grated
Garlic
2 cloves, minced
Soy Sauce
2 tablespoons
Honey
3 tablespoons
Orange Juice
1/2 cup, freshly squeezed
Salmon Fillets
4 (6 oz each)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the orange juice, honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, salt, and pepper to create the glaze.
  3. Place the salmon fillets in a baking dish. Pour the glaze mixture over the fillets, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  4. Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  5. During the baking process, baste the salmon with the glaze a couple of times to enrich the flavor.
  6. Once cooked, remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  7. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve hot. The green onions add a fresh, crisp contrast to the rich, glazed salmon.
  8. Enjoy your delicious orange and honey glazed salmon!

Tips

  • 💡 For an added burst of citrus flavor, you can include some orange zest in the glaze.
  • 💡 Pair this dish with a side of steamed vegetables or a light salad to balance out the richness of the salmon.
