Olive oil
2 tablespoons
Egg
1, beaten
Black pepper
1/2 teaspoon
Salt
1/2 teaspoon
Garlic powder
1 teaspoon
Dried oregano
2 teaspoons
Breadcrumbs
1 cup
Pork chops
4, bone-in or boneless

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a shallow dish, combine the breadcrumbs, dried oregano, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to distribute the spices evenly throughout the breadcrumbs.
  3. Dip each pork chop into the beaten egg, allowing any excess to drip off. Then, coat the chop in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure the crumbs adhere well.
  4. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the breaded pork chops to the skillet.
  5. Cook the pork chops for 3-4 minutes on each side, until they are golden brown and crispy.
  6. Transfer the browned pork chops to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until they are cooked through and reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  7. Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute.
