Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a shallow dish, combine the breadcrumbs, dried oregano, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to distribute the spices evenly throughout the breadcrumbs.
- Dip each pork chop into the beaten egg, allowing any excess to drip off. Then, coat the chop in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure the crumbs adhere well.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the breaded pork chops to the skillet.
- Cook the pork chops for 3-4 minutes on each side, until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Transfer the browned pork chops to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until they are cooked through and reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
- Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute.
- Serve hot and enjoy the flavorful combination of herbs and garlic with each bite!
