Shrimp
1 pound, peeled and deveined
Olive oil
1/4 cup
Garlic
4 cloves, minced
Fresh oregano
2 tablespoons, chopped
Lemon juice
2 tablespoons
Salt
1/2 teaspoon
Black pepper
1/4 teaspoon
Red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon (adjust to taste)
Lemon wedges
for garnish
Fresh oregano leaves
for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the olive oil, minced garlic, chopped oregano, lemon juice, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes until well combined.
  2. Add the shrimp to the marinade and toss to thoroughly coat each piece. Cover and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated shrimp to the skillet, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
  4. Remove from heat and transfer the shrimp to a serving platter. Garnish with fresh oregano leaves and serve with lemon wedges for an extra burst of flavor.
