Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven while it is preheating.
- On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness. If you prefer a thin and crispy crust, roll it out thinly. If you prefer a thicker, bread-like crust, leave it a bit thicker.
- If using a pizza stone, carefully transfer the rolled dough onto the preheated stone. If not, place it on a baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. This will be your garlic-infused olive oil.
- Brush the garlic-infused olive oil evenly over the surface of the pizza dough, making sure to cover all areas.
- Spread the tomato sauce over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.
- Top the pizza with the fresh oregano leaves.
- Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly. Keep a close eye on the pizza to prevent it from burning.
- Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. This helps the cheese set and makes slicing easier.
