Servings: 4
Ingredients
- Paneer (Indian Cottage Cheese) (250g, cut into cubes)
- Yogurt (1 cup)
- Ginger-garlic paste (2 teaspoons)
- Turmeric powder (1/2 teaspoon)
- Red chili powder (1 teaspoon)
- Garam masala (1 teaspoon)
- Lemon juice (1 tablespoon)
- Salt (to taste)
- Bell peppers (1 cup, cut into squares)
- Onion (1 cup, cut into squares)
- Cherry tomatoes (1 cup)
- Oil (2 tablespoons)
- Skewers (as needed)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, lemon juice, and salt to make a marinade.
- Add the paneer cubes into the marinade ensuring each cube is well-coated. Let it rest for at least 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium heat.
- Thread the marinated paneer cubes, bell peppers, onion squares, and cherry tomatoes alternately onto the skewers.
- Brush each skewer lightly with oil to prevent sticking and place them on the grill.
- Grill for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the paneer is beautifully golden and the vegetables have a nice char.
- Remove the skewers from the grill and serve hot with your choice of mint chutney or a cooling yogurt dip.
