
Panettone French Toast
A delicious twist on a classic breakfast dish using Italian Christmas bread.
Ingredients
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
- Maple syrup (to taste)
- Butter (2 tablespoons)
- Cinnamon (1/2 teaspoon)
- Vanilla extract (1 teaspoon)
- Milk (1 cup)
- Eggs (4)
- Panettone bread (8 slices)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
- Dip each slice of panettone into the egg mixture, making sure both sides are well coated.
- Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the soaked panettone slices to the skillet and cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Serve the French toast warm with maple syrup and a dusting of powdered sugar.
