
Panna Cotta
Panna cotta is a creamy Italian dessert made with sweetened cream and gelatin.
Ingredients
- Mint leaves (for garnish)
- Fresh berries (for garnish)
- Cold water (2 tablespoons)
- Gelatin (2 teaspoons)
- Vanilla extract (1 teaspoon)
- Sugar (1/2 cup)
- Heavy cream (2 cups)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream and sugar over medium heat until it starts to simmer. Stir occasionally to dissolve the sugar.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over the cold water and let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
- Add the bloomed gelatin mixture to the warm cream mixture and stir until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
- Pour the mixture into individual serving glasses or ramekins.
- Let the panna cotta cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
- Before serving, garnish with fresh berries and mint leaves.
- Enjoy chilled!
