Indulge in the lusciousness of this Panna Cotta Smoothie, a delightful fusion of creamy textures and vibrant flavors. This smoothie transforms the classic Italian dessert, panna cotta, into a healthy treat that’s perfect for breakfast or a light dessert. With the natural sweetness of honey and the fresh burst of mixed berries, this smoothie is not just a feast for the palate, but also a visual delight. Originally hailing from Italy, panna cotta is known for its silky smoothness and rich taste, making this smoothie a fun twist on a traditional favorite. Enjoy it chilled and topped with extra berries for an added touch of freshness!

Serves 2

Ingredients

Mixed berries
1 cup, plus extra for topping
Gelatin
1 tablespoon
Vanilla extract
1 teaspoon
Honey
2 tablespoons, or to taste
Milk
1 cup, divided
Greek yogurt
1 cup

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix the gelatin with 2 tablespoons of milk and let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
  2. In a blender, combine the Greek yogurt, the remaining milk, honey, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Heat the gelatin mixture in the microwave for 10 seconds until just dissolved, then add it to the blender. Blend again until everything is well combined.
  4. Pour the smoothie mixture into glasses and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until it has set to a creamy consistency.
  5. Before serving, top each smoothie with a handful of mixed berries for a burst of color and flavor.

Tips

  • 💡 For a vegan version, substitute gelatin with agar-agar and use plant-based milk and yogurt.
  • 💡 Feel free to experiment with different fruits such as mango or peach for a tropical twist.
  • 💡 Add a tablespoon of chia seeds for extra fiber and a nutritional boost.
